Sergio Bustamante is a Mexican artist born in Culiacán, Sinaloa state, in 1949.
Orphan of both father and mother, he lived with his grandfather José Chong, a Chinese from Shanghai who in the 1930s became nationalized and adopted a Mexican surname.
Sergio Bustamante is a painter, sculptor and designer, his work has stood out worldwide for its originality. This artist has lived since his childhood in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he dedicates himself today to the creation of his works. Today more than 300 people work with him around the world. There are several influences in the artistic works of Sergio Bustamante who have Chinese and Indian antennas.
