ARTWAVE (Olas de Arte) 2023
ARTWAVE is an annual exhibition curated by ARTe VallARTa Museo featuring some of the most significant and important work being done by the foremost artists of Banderas Bay and its environs.
ARTWAVE es una exposición anual comisariada por ARTe VallARTa Museo que presenta algunas de las obras más significativas e importantes realizadas por los artistas más destacados de Bahía de Banderas y sus alrededores.

The curatorial team at ARTe VallARTa Museo are preparing for this, its first, exhibition of ARTWAVE to open in November 2023 and run through January 2024. The museum is offering an opportunity for qualified artists to be seen by a local, national, and international audiences. This submission process is open to all qualified artists of all medias who create in the Banderas Bay triangular region from Cobo Corrientes to Talpa to Nayarit.
El equipo curatorial de ARTe VallARTa Museo se está preparando para esta, su primera, exposición de ARTWAVE que se inaugurará en noviembre de 2023 y se extenderá hasta enero de 2024. El museo ofrece una oportunidad a los artistas cualificados para ser vistos por un público local, nacional e internacional. Este proceso de presentación está abierto a todos los artistas calificados de todos los medios que crean en la región triangular de Bahía de Banderas desde Cobo Corrientes a Talpa a Nayarit.

We are seeking to exhibit a minimum of 20 artists, – local, national, and international, – that are currently creating work in this region. All levels of qualified artists are encouraged to submit and share their work with us as this event and exhibition will be an opportunity to get their professional profile in front of a variety of gallery and museum curators. As an annual event, ARTWAVE intends to not only showcase the talents of the artists in Banderas Bay and its environs but to introduce and educate our community at large about the vast pool of talent this region has to offer.
Queremos exponer un mínimo de 20 artistas -locales, nacionales e internacionales- que estén creando actualmente en esta región. Animamos a todos los artistas cualificados a presentar y compartir sus obras con nosotros, ya que este evento y exposición les brindará la oportunidad de dar a conocer su perfil profesional a diversos conservadores de galerías y museos. Como evento anual, ARTWAVE pretende no sólo mostrar el talento de los artistas de Bahía de Banderas y sus alrededores, sino presentar y educar a nuestra comunidad en general sobre la gran reserva de talento que esta región tiene para ofrecer.

All museum-worthy works and installations that express the creativity and quality of the variety of arts of this region will be considered. All submissions have to be original and have to have been created locally within the last 3 years. All art mediums are valid and will be considered. All submitting artists will also be included in the museum’s ARTist registry and each curatorially selected artist will have a bio featured on the ARTe VAllARTa Museo website as well as featured on the ARTWAVES exhibition cards for the show.
Se tendrán en cuenta todas las obras e instalaciones dignas de museo que expresen la creatividad y la calidad de la variedad de las artes de esta región. Todas las obras presentadas deben ser originales y haber sido creadas localmente en los últimos 3 años. Todos los medios artísticos son válidos y serán tenidos en cuenta. Todos los artistas que se presenten serán incluidos en el registro de ARTistas del museo y cada artista seleccionado por el comisario tendrá una biografía en la página web de ARTe VAllARTa Museo, así como en las tarjetas de la exposición ARTWAVES.

The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2023. Please feel free to forward and share this invitation with your colleagues within the community.
